Theresa Bielawski grew up in a remote part of Montana, and that, combined with her love of animals, led her down the path to becoming a nature and wildlife photographer. As a young child, she had a constant desire to be outside exploring the great outdoors.
She received her first camera when she was 10, but spent most of her life taking pictures with point & shoot cameras. In 2012, she stepped into the digital photography age with her first DSLR, a Nikon D90. She was finally off and running down that “digital” nature trail.
She loves the special feeling she gets when she is able to capture a behavior of a wild animal or witness a scene that is just so incredible and would be difficult to verbally describe to others. Knowing that so many people may never have the opportunity to ever see a particular wild animal or geographic location in their lifetime makes photography even more special to her – she is able to bring these images to them, be it their favorite animal, favorite mountain, or favorite flower. Her hopes are to share with everyone in the world these special moments she is able to capture through her photography. She also hopes her photography will help educate and build an appreciation for nature and wildlife.
