Melissa Bruno is a teacher, painter, and potter from Sacramento, California. She learned how to wheel throw from her grandfather at the age of 9 and has been creating pottery ever since. She loves exploring with textures and incorporating part of the raw clay body into her work for an organic feel that gives a window into where the piece came from. She is the creator of the brand Existential Entropy which is about existing in chaos. “From mud through fire, pottery goes through a metamorphosis just like we do throughout our lives. There is only so much I can control before I give it up to the kiln gods. The rest is in flux.
