I have always been interested in different art forms. I'm one of those people that has to have their hands busy all the time.
Through the years I have dabbled in many different art forms. I started out doing Stained glass maybe 25 years ago. I did stained glass off and on to the present. I never did it for pay; I only created it for friends and relatives.
From Stained glass I moved onto quilting. I have been quilting for about 20 years. I won judge’s choice on one, also first place on another.
In the middle of quilting, I started making tamari balls. Tamari balls are a Japanese art form and I still do them occasionally.
Now after receiving 50 pounds of clay as a birthday gift, I am potting almost every day. I borrowed a wheel for about two years and then ventured out and bought my own wheel. I bought an electric kiln with a friend and together we have such a good time. We quickly outgrew our little electric kiln and eventually I built a big brick kiln in my backyard.
I have never sold my art before. Joining the Gold Country Artist Gallery will be a new adventure.
